Tips for Making the Best Avocado Deviled Eggs

  • Salt to boiling water: Adding a little salt to the water before boiling eggs can help the water boil faster and seal cracks in the eggshells.
  • Shelling eggs: Adding the boiled eggs straight from boiling water to an ice bath helps with shelling, so don’t skip the ice bath. Once cooled, tap the shell on a hard surface and they will easily peel.
  • Fresh Ingredients: Use a ripe but firm avocado for the best texture and flavor.
  • Smooth Filling: Ensure the avocado and yolk mixture is well combined for a smooth filling.
  • Chill Before Serving: Refrigerate the deviled eggs for at least an hour before serving to enhance the flavors.

Avocado Deviled Eggs Recipe Variations

  • Add Herbs: Mix in chopped chives or dill for an extra layer of flavor.
  • Spice It Up: Include a dash of cayenne or a bit of diced jalapeño in the filling for a spicy twist.
