- 3 avocados ripe
- 1 small lime juiced
- 1/3 cup red onion diced
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 1 Tablespoon cilantro fresh, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper to taste
Prepare the 3 avocados by cutting them in half, removing the pits, and scooping the flesh into a mixing bowl.
Mash the avocados using a fork or potato masher until you reach your desired consistency, whether smooth or chunky.
Immediately add juice of 1 small lime to the mashed avocados to prevent browning and to infuse the mixture with a zesty flavor.
Stir in the chopped 1/3 cup red onion, minced 1 clove garlic, and fresh 1 Tablespoon cilantro, mixing well to distribute evenly.
Season with 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper, adjusting the quantities to suit your taste. Feel free to add more lime juice if desired.
Serve with chips or your favorite dipper of choice.
Use avocados that are just ripe enough—soft to the touch but not mushy.
Adjust the amount of each ingredient to match your taste preferences. More lime juice or cilantro can drastically change the flavor.
For a more complex flavor, consider adding diced tomatoes, chopped jalapeños, or a splash of hot sauce.
