- 2 pounds stew beef
- 1 small onion chopped
- 3 garlic cloves minced
- 1 ounce Birria seasoning 1 seasoning packet
- 4 cups beef stock
- 10.75 ounces ramen noodles
Optional Toppings
- 1 egg boiled
- 1/2 jalapeno sliced
- 1/4 cup diced onion
- 1/2 lime sliced
In the bottom of your slow cooker, arrange the 2 pounds stew beef. Top with 1 small onion chopped, and 3 garlic cloves, minced for layered flavoring.
Sprinkle the 1 ounce Birria seasoning over the beef. Add water or 4 cups beef stock to cover the ingredients, ensuring a flavorful broth.
Cook on low for 4-6 hours. This slow cooking process allows the beef to become wonderfully tender and the flavors to fully develop.
About 20 minutes before serving, add the 10.75 ounces ramen noodles directly into the broth. Let them cook until tender, absorbing the rich and spicy broth.
Serve the ramen in bowls, garnished with your chosen toppings such as 1 egg, 1/2 jalapeno, 1/4 cup diced onion, 1/2 lime, to enhance the dish with freshness and texture.
Opt for chuck or brisket as these cuts break down beautifully over long cooking periods, enhancing the broth with rich flavors.
Don’t hesitate to experiment with various toppings like radishes, green onions, or a squeeze of lime to bring brightness and balance to the hearty flavors.
Add diced chilies or a spoonful of hot sauce to give your ramen an extra kick.
